Erith Pier
FreeThe longest fishing pier on the Thames, reaching well out over the tidal river at Erith. Summer produces flounder, sole and silver eels, winter turns it over to whiting and codling, and mullet show up in the calmer stretches too, with worm baits covering most species here.
Access: Free public pier, no rod licence needed for sea fishing
Parking: Pier Road car park, Erith town centre

Species you can expect
| Species | Best season |
|---|---|

| Sole | Summer |
| Silver eel | Summer |
| Whiting | Winter |

| Mullet | Summer |
Worm baits work best across the board here: king ragworm, blow lugworm, harbour rag and earthworms. The pier's length is the real draw, it reaches further out over the Thames than most other marks along this stretch, giving access to deeper, more productive water on the drop.
