Newcastle Harbour
FreeA small harbour at the foot of Slieve Donard, the highest of the Mourne Mountains, built in the 1820s as a loading point for Mourne granite and now home to a working fishing fleet and pleasure boats. Its position right in the seaside town of Newcastle makes it an easy, sheltered option when the open coast is too rough.
Access: Free shore access around the harbour, no rod licence needed for sea fishing
Parking: Harbour and seafront car parks available in Newcastle town centre
