The rocky mark at Douglas Head produces wrasse and bass to bottom-fished baits, while coalfish and pollock respond well to lures worked off the rocks. Large conger eels are the headline target for anglers using heavy rods and large squid, mackerel or bluey baits on substantial hooks, best fished after dark into the deeper water off the point.
