Bournemouth Pier
Day ticketDesigned by Eugenius Birch and opened in 1880, one of the south coast's best-known Victorian pleasure piers, rebuilt in concrete after WWII damage. A landmark of Bournemouth's seafront, popular with local pier anglers working the deep water off the pier structure.
Access: No rod licence needed for sea fishing; the council charges a seasonal walk-on toll (around £1.20 adult, April-October), unrelated to fishing
Parking: Seafront and pier approach car parks in central Bournemouth
