Wick Harbour
FreeWick's three interconnected harbours - Outer, Inner and River - were built 1803-1811 and once served the herring fleet. The breakwaters and harbour walls give deep, sheltered Caithness sea fishing where the River Wick meets the North Sea.
Access: Free shore access, no rod licence needed for sea fishing

The breakwaters take the brunt of North Sea swell; check storm damage repairs before venturing onto the outer walls.
Sea fishing needs no rod licence anywhere in the UK — shore, boat or wreck marks are all licence-free.
