Petersham Meadows, Richmond
FreeOpen grazing meadows on the Surrey bank between Ham House and Richmond, with access via River Lane, on the tidal stretch of the Thames upstream of Richmond Bridge. Free coarse fishing, well known for roach and dace with occasional bream to specimen size.
Access: Free bank fishing, no ticket required. EA rod licence required (England freshwater)
Parking: Ham House National Trust car park nearby is free 24/7 with around 80 spaces; River Lane also gives direct riverside access. Cattle sometimes graze the meadows.
